How to... prioritise at work
Here's the framework I use to stop spinning, start planning and get the right s**t done
How has your year been so far? I don’t know about you, but it’s felt crazy busy so far.
That’s a good thing in the main, but without proper evaluation and judgement, being “crazy busy” can easily become your default setting and the worst thing is, it doesn’t necessarily lead to you being more effective or impactful in your role.
In fact, it can often lead to less than favourable outcomes. People think you can’t cope. That you don’t know how to prioritise. That you can’t tell the difference between something that’s important and something that well, isn’t.
Hmm, doesn’t sound like credible leadership behaviour to me. How about you?
So when I found myself spinning a few too many plates a few weeks ago, I coached myself out of the swirling vortex of “busy” and I want to share with you the work I did and the approach I used to do it.
This is important because we too often take being “crazy busy” for granted and that can lead to a lack of focus, an inability to meet objectives and even burn out. I want so much better for you!
