Welcome back! Today we’re focusing on one of the most important things you can control and have influence over as an aspiring leader. And it will not only give you confidence, but it will also guarantee you have more presence, more impact and more credibility.

How you communicate.

But i’m not here to give you elocution lessons. That’s not my style. (And I personally have the weirdest Black Country / California accent mash up you’ll ever hear…)

Instead, I’m going to give you some foolproof, tried and tested techniques for communicating effectively with senior stakeholders, leaders and decision makers.

And I’ll also give you some guidance as to when to use each one for maximum impact and effect.

Head down past the break if you’re a premium subscriber, where I’m breaking this all down for you.

But here’s something for everyone…

This is a TED talk I recommend to everyone. It’s by Amy Cuddy, an organisational pyschologist and she talks about the vital importance of your body language in the way you communicate at work.

If you take one thing from this, it’s the “power pose”. Practice it and use it!

Here it is - enjoy.

Amy Cuddy - the importance of body language

One small update from me as we move into the summer. I am opening up the waiting list for enrollment on my Confident Leader group coaching programme, launching in September. I’ve been running the pilot programme over the summer and am now putting the finishing touches on the official launch. Sign up here if you want to be the first to know when enrollment opens!

And now, for two communication tools and techniques that will give you more confidence and more impact…
