If you’re reading this in the UK, then today is a bank holiday, which means that it’s a four day working week for many of us this week. US readers, I expect you’re working as normal and feel your pain. Rise up and lobby government for more public holidays!

But whatever your circumstances, it’s likely that at some point you’ll be looking at a four day week, having enjoyed a rare Monday or Friday off work and wondering how on earth you’ll fit everything in. Well, I’ve got some tips to help.

And if the recent success of the four day working week trial in the UK is anything to go by, more of us may be working this way in the future. Trial participants reported an improvement in work/life balance, and yet, also increased productivity.

How? I hear you cry, whilst shaking your head at the 10 extra meetings you now need to squeeze into four days.
